Mark McEwen
Founder
Mark is a Partner and the Co-Founder of Bluebirders. He has been involved in the property market for 35 years and started his first business at age 17. Mark is also passionate about IT and he became the youngest Associate Software Engineer at Prime Computers by age 19.
Mark also loves to travel and as Prime Computers was a Boston based company, Mark was able to spend time there working with their Research & Development team on one of the first commercial multi-dimensional databases. Through his early business ventures and work in the computing industry, by age 21, Mark was able to start investing in property. He continued working in the analytics segment of the IT industry while building his property portfolio in Australia.
Mark’s attention turned to the USA after the Global Financial Crisis in 2007. Mark studied the US property market for 3 years before focusing on an investment strategy in Las Vegas in 2010. Mark continued to hold properties in Australia, but his focus was now on the higher yield of the recovering US property market. Mark later teamed with Century 21 Gavish Real Estate in Las Vegas to focus on a series of property refresh projects aiming at high efficiency, quick, and high yielding returns and has been involved in several properties within the Bluebirders list of achievements.
Mark has been able to combine his passion and skills in analytics and property, which has been the foundation for a highly efficient and accurate property model. He has helped others become successful in the property industry by sharing the insights he has built over his many years of experience.
Mark had a long and successful career working for a variety of multi-national organisations like IBM, Oracle, Gartner and SAP focusing on Data Management, Analytics, AI and ERP solutions,
Mark is passionate on serving the community through a number of environmental philanthropic and community-centric endeavours.
Bluebirders specifically sets aside 10% of all revenue for philanthropic and social benefit programs. Mark will use his share to continue donating to the expansion and protection of Australia’s beautiful Daintree Rainforest, partnering with Rainforest4 Foundation www.rainforest4.org.
